The view's "Recent Projects" list can be used to open the last or one the last projects edited, to start creating a new project or to browse for a project for opening.
To open a project from the "Recent Projects" list select the project and use "Open selected" button or use a double click to the project's list entry.

The samples button opens the Samples page with ready to open sample projects and sample dictionaries -- with documentation/info for each sample or file.
