XLIFF Import

The Import from QuickShip Exchange/XLIFF 2.0 File dialog box is used to import translations from a QuickShip exchange file (.xliffex) or an XLIFF 2.0 file (.xliff).

Additional data can be imported along with the translation unit when present in the file.  Typically the file from which data is being imported is a QuickShip file with additional data for and from a translator.

TMX Import

The Import from TMX File dialog box is used to import translations from a Translation Memory eXchange (TMX) file (.tmx).

NOTES:

1.

The TMX file can contain more than one target language.  The language of the data to be imported can be selected in the Translation combo box.

2.

When the elements in the TMX file do not have a name ("tuid" attribute) or RC-WinTrans cannot use the name to find the respective item in the project, the match "Item ID" option should be disabled.

Note on "unique ID":
-----------------------------

The "Item ID", the "Main resource ID" and the "Source file name" is included in the unique ID. The unique ID was created and added to an element in the TMX or XLIFF file when the file was exported by RC-WinTrans.

For source files (TMX, XLIFF) without unique RC-WinTrans ID, disable the item ID match.
